How did CCFM start?
In the late 1990's, Dr. Paszko encountered a family crisis. His father-in-law, Harvey, began to suffer from rapid onset dementia at age 59. As the family tried to rally around Harvey , it became clear that it required the relocation of family members living in western Canada at the time . To move to Rochester , they would need employment. (At this point, Dr. Paszko had been working at Rochester General Hospital for a decade.) And so Dr. Paszko opened a private medical practice in 1999, in part to provide work for family seeking to be near Harvey .
At age 65, Harvey passed away. He was a man of vision, mercy, and a man who possessed both heartfelt concern for others and a profound love for God. The medical practice has flourished, and nearly 20 years later, CCFM remains committed to its patients and employees, based on those same values that Harvey upheld.
As an independent family practice, our philosophy of care encompasses the whole person: physically, psychologically, socially, and spiritually. From pediatric to geriatric stages of life, each staff member genuinely cares about every individual and seeks to help our patients pursue a healthy body, mind, and life.
